From Cornwall🇬🇧 to Canada🇨🇦 to Ecuador🇪🇨: Would You Join With Us?

Dear Reader

We hope you are doing well and enjoying the beginning of summer. One of the things we have loved most about serving as missionaries over the years is seeing how God invites all of us to participate in what He is doing. Time and time again, we have experienced His faithfulness through the prayers, encouragement, and generosity of His people.

This summer, as a family, we have the privilege of leading a youth group from a church in Canada on an outreach to Ecuador.

Before heading to Ecuador, we will first travel to Canada, where we will spend a week helping train and prepare the team. It is such a joy for us not only to lead the outreach itself, but also to equip and encourage young people as they step into missions and discover God's heart for the nations.

From Canada, we will travel together to Ecuador, where we will be partnering with an organisation called Tres Clavos y un Madero (Three Nails and a Beam). Their heart is to serve communities, support churches, and bring practical help and hope to those in need.

Together, we will travel to Macas region in the Ecuadorian jungle to serve the Shuar community.

Building a Place for Children

One of the projects we are especially excited about is helping to build a dining area for children. This space will provide a place where children can gather, share meals, build friendships, and experience the love and care of their community.

Alongside the construction project, we will also be running children's Bible activities and serving the community in practical ways according to the gifts and skills within the team.

As missionaries here in Cornwall, we know personally how encouraging and refreshing it is when short-term teams come alongside those serving long-term. We have experienced that blessing ourselves, and now we have the joy of doing the same for others.

We love that this outreach is not simply about building a structure, but about investing in people, strengthening long-term workers, and bringing the love of Jesus in practical ways.

How You Can Help

To make this outreach possible, we are trusting God for £3,000, which will help contribute towards building the dining area for the children and cover our family's travel and extra expenses as we train and lead the team in Canada and Ecuador.

We have already seen God's faithfulness in this journey and are so encouraged to share that we have reached 21% of our goal! We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has been praying, encouraging us, and already partnering with us financially. Your generosity and support have blessed us so much and have reminded us once again that we are not doing this alone.

Part of these funds will also help cover our girls' expenses, allowing us to serve together as a family and giving them the opportunity to witness and participate firsthand in what God is doing among the nations. It is such a joy for us to see them growing in their faith and learning what it means to love and serve others.

As missionaries, we have learned that ministry is always a partnership. Every gift, whether large or small, helps make it possible for us to equip young people, encourage long-term workers, and invest in the lives of children and families in Ecuador.

We truly believe that generosity is one of the ways we participate in what God is doing. When people give, they become part of the story and share in the fruit of lives touched and communities impacted.
